Calling transfem(inist) authors and artists! TSF #2 submission now open

Submissions due: October 15, 2026.

The issue will be published on December 15, 2026.

What to submit

  • Essays or short stories, between 1,000 and 7,000 words

  • Poetry, no more than two pages

  • Visual artwork (Must be black-and-white, no larger than 8.5" x 11")

  • Letters to the editor (1k words or less)

  • Book/movie/etc reviews (1k words or less. media being reviewed must have come out in the past year and must be relevant to [trans]feminism)

(All writing must be in English, for the sake of editorial review.)

The work you submit should be trans-feminist in nature, meaning it should focus on one of the following:

  • The liberation of trans women as it relates to the liberation of all women

  • Expanding on or challenging the work of a previous feminist author

  • Trans women's lived experiences, especially as influenced by other positionalities such as race, class, disability, etc.

  • Politics, organizing, current events

  • Other related topics

Compensation

Contributors will not be paid. Trans Sisters Forever is an independently published zine which has yet to turn a profit. Currently, it is being published and distributed with money out of Sara's pocket. In future issues, if the zine is profitable, then contributors will be paid.

Distribution

The zine will be published digitally and physically. Each contributor will receive one free physical copy.

Other rules

Your work may or may not be published, depending on what you submit and how many people submit!

The use of generative AI or LLMs is prohibited. All submitted work must be created by humans. All people involved in the creation of a particular piece of work must be credited.

Contributors are expected to edit and review their own work before submission. Sara retains final editing privileges. All work is subject to editing.

You may submit work that has been published before, if you are the person who owns the publishing rights.

Authors who have been published in previous issues of TSF are encouraged to submit again.

Authors will retain all rights to any work they submit, whether or not it is published.

Email your manuscript or image to common.sense.trans.book@gmail.com. Submissions should include:

  • Your name (whatever name you want to be published under)

  • Social media handle or website (optional)

  • The piece you are submitting
