Feminism cannot succeed in its project of liberating women if it does not fight for trans women. Trans women are oppressed by the same misogynistic forces that oppress all other women; to refuse to challenge that misogyny is to allow it to fester. The day that feminism calls trans women "male" and refuses to fight for them is the day that feminism gives up its ability to win.
